Complete interior fit-out/renovation to a luxury boutique retail location. This job was performed on an occupied store which presented difficulties in not interrupting store traffic while allowing us to complete the very elaborate ceiling soffit system which required precise framing and layout.
Extensive retail fit out in an occupied mall environment. Scope of work included but was not limited to all layout, framing, blocking, GWB, drywall finishes, ceiling and doors, frames and hardware. Additionally scope included the installation of an extensive millwork package that included crown moldings, casework, fluted columns, slot wall, and cash wraps.
Reebok – Philadelphia, PA
Completed the entire interior renovation for a 2,700 sq. ft. center city two story retail store. As is usually the case we were working under a tight schedule so that the facility could be open to the public. Take note of the unique counter and display designs installed to strict customer specifications.
Environmental remediation cleanup in an occupied industrial setting. Scope include the decontamination of all working surfaces including ceiling, walls, floors, framing, equipment and overhead cranes. Work required the strategic use of scaffolding platforms and tunnels.
Exelon – Philadelphia, PA
Exelon provides electricity and natural gas to the greater Philadelphia metropolitan area serving 1.5 million electrical and .5 million natural gas customers. The scope of this project involved the complete abatement of two 10-story boilers and associated components in preparation for the decommissioning of the plant. We provided all of the lifting, hoisting and scaffolding for the project. One of the major challenges for this project involved the containment of the exposed section of the boiler units in order to safely remove the hazardous material without impacting the local environment.
USS Olympia – Philadelphia Water Front
We were called on to perform abatement of hazardous material located in the boiler room of the Olympia, the only surviving warship from the Spanish American War. This project required significant containment measures and when completed allowed tourist access to this part of the ship that previously was off limits.
Philadelphia Fairmount Water Works – Philadelphia, PA
This is one of the oldest water works in the United States and is a Philadelphia landmark. We successfully performed lead abatement on the exterior and roof areas of all of the buildings in the complex.
USS New Jersey – Camden Waterfront, Camden NJ
The New Jersey has been called one of the most distinguished and decorated battleships to ever sail so it was considered both a challenge and an honor when we were selected to perform PCB remediation from the lubricating oil used in the massive gun turrets. We also performed substantial asbestos abatement. This allowed public access to parts of the ship that had been prohibited.
Education & The Arts Projects
University of Penn Law School – Philadelphia, PA
We performed extensive interior demolition and some selective asbestos abatement services for the U of P Law Library. We were operating on a tight timeline to complete this work ahead of the necessary interior renovations in preparation for the school year.
University of Penn Silverman Hall – Philadelphia, Pa.
We performed significant lead abatement and selective demolition on historical surfaces throughout the building.
Drexel University – Philadelphia, PA
Princeton University – Princeton, NJ
We perform on-going maintenance support which includes demolition, abatement and carpentry to meet the needs of these well regarded and ever expanding institutions of higher learning. Our support requires scheduling and performing services around the academic calendar with minimum interruption of academic activities.
University of the Arts – Philadelphia, PA
We performed the exterior building façade replacement and approximately 40,000 sq. ft. of interior renovations including new drywall partitions, acoustical ceilings, slat walls and doors. This work was performed while providing a safe environment to pedestrian traffic in a busy center city district. The facility remained open to the public while under renovation without interruption.
Health Care Projects
MNAP – Philadelphia, PA
ASCI was responsible for the installation of all interior partitions (which included drywall, lead infilled and cmu) ceiling systems, finished millwork and doors and hardware. Additionally ASCI reconstructed the exterior façade and installed a new store front.
Hahnemann University Hospital – Philadelphia, PA
We continue to foster an ongoing relationship with this university hospital providing all necessary environmental remediation (asbestos, lead and mold) and selective demolition. All the work takes place within a fully functional hospital environment. Our goal is zero interruption of patient care.
CHOP (Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia)
We performed a complete removal of the existing façade from a fully occupied, 10-story children’s hospital which included over 100,000 sq. ft. of interior demolition. Several of the areas were adjacent to the hospitals acute care facilities. We employed extensive use of ICRA protection during the construction to safeguard patient care and hospital operation.
